Charitable Initiatives
Our Initiatives
NOK has established four charitable initiatives, each with a dedicated mission focused on serving and uplifting the Native Hawaiian community.
Nā 'Ōiwi Kāne Initiative
This initiative is dedicated to supporting Native Hawaiian youth, with a focus on those from fatherless households. It provides grants for programs and projects that preserve and transfer the skills, values, and practices of the traditional Hawaiian way of life to the most vulnerable members of our community.
Manawale'a Initiative
Focused on cultural preservation and empowerment, this initiative aims to strengthen and unite Native Hawaiian communities. It supports programs and projects that foster social, economic, and cultural opportunities for Native Hawaiians.
ASH Initiative
This initiative is committed to protecting the cultural, traditional, and intellectual property rights of the Native Hawaiian people, our kūpuna, and cultural practitioners. It provides grants to support the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs in advancing civic engagement, expanding educational and training opportunities, and perpetuating Hawaiian values and practices.
Aloha Initiative
Dedicated to serving the broader communities where we live and work, this initiative supports programs and projects that enhance quality of life, strengthen community connections, and promote compassion, unity, and collective well-being.
